We strongly believe in seeing children as individuals. Our ethos is to work closely with and build meaningful relationships with families. By respecting that all children are different and they come to our nursery with unique experiences of family, friends and their world, we are able to build upon this to support each child to make friends and build relationships at nursery.
You are key in how we care for and work with your child. From the settling in process as a baby and at each stage of transition through nursery life to toddlers, preppies and pre-school, children who see warm and authentic interactions between a parent and the adult caring for them at nursery, soon learn that that adult can be trusted and can be relied upon for a cuddle, comfort or as a play partner. Our strong belief is that we can best meet the needs of children, parents and our team by listening to what they have to say about nursery. You will find many opportunities to tell us what you think and how we can improve right from the start. From the settling in process all the way through to the day your child leaves us, confident, happy and extremely well prepared to start school.

Rebecca Moore, Operations Manager
I have worked with the Village Nursery Group since 1997 where I began my journey as a nursery apprentice, throughout this time I have continued to study and develop my skills with a particular focus on leadership. This has supported me to reach my current role of Regional Operations Manager.
I love all aspects of my role, but my huge passion is the coaching and mentoring of the team working towards growing our future leaders. As part of my role, I enjoy spending time within the rooms to observe and experience what it is really like for children within our nurseries.
Gary Williams, Nursery Manager
I have been working in Early Years for around 13 years, with the last 16 months at The Village. I have worked in various different roles, from a Nursery Practitioner, through to Nursery Manager. I have a strong passion for ensuring all children receive the most outstanding opportunities each and every single day, setting up with the best start in education.
Throughout my career, I have trained as an Early Years Assessor/Tutor, delivering apprenticeships, and supporting newly qualified staff members. This training and experience allows me to deliver the same passion for continual development with my teams.
Debra Slater, Assistant Manager
I have worked in Early Years for almost 19 years. In this time, I have completed my level 3 qualification and worked my way from a practitioner to a Nursery Manager too. I love how every day in Early Years is different and brings a new challenge. I am really passionate about building strong relationships with parents as well as the children to help and watch them grow into incredible young people.
Jane Robertson, Assistant Manager
I have over 10 years experience working in Early Years, within this time I have developed my leadership skills which has lead me to work with The Village Nursery as the Assistant Manager in a setting with children at the heart of what we do.
I enjoy sharing my passion for the early years with others and leading and developing team skills to give children in our care the best experience each and everyday in fun, playful and exciting ways.
Katie Green, Third in Charge/Baby Room Supervisor
I have worked in Early Years from the age of sixteen, working my way up from a student to now third in charge. I am very passionate to form good partnerships with parents/carers and think it is vital to secure attachments with the babies in order for them to settle, progress and build their confidence here with us. I also love to support others in their role in order to help them progress, grow and develop their skills with us.
