Parents’ EYFS Workshop

eyfsWe are excited to invite parents to our next parents training session. This is open to existing and prospective parents!

The session is designed to help parents to have a better understanding of how we implement the Early Years Foundation Stage here at the nursery. It will cover some of the following frequently asked questions:

  • What is the background to the Early Year Foundation Stage?
  • How do we use it here at the nursery?
  • What does it mean for Parents?
  • The importance of Partnership with Parents.
  • What activities can I carry out at home to support my child’s development?
  • How do we observe, assess and plan for my child?
  • The importance of a Key Person

The session is designed to be informal and a chance for you to learn a little about what the Early Years Foundation Stage is and how we interpret this here at the setting.

The session will be held between 5pm and 6pm on Wednesday 30th April. The nursery will be open as usual between these times to allow for children to be cared for whilst you enjoy the training. If your child doesn’t attend on this day please let us know so we can arrange staff cover for your child. The places are limited however should we have lots of interest we will hold a second session shortly after (dates to follow).

If you would like to attend on the 30th April or an alternative date in the future, please let your Key Person know or email me at rebecca@village-nursery.co.uk.
